International Department of Beijing Luhe High School The International Department of Beijing Luhe High School was set up in September 2004 basing on the Foreign Affairs Office founded in July 2000. The purpose of the department is to develop international programmes, generally administrate programmes and in doing so, to build the school a world-famous campus for its multicultural study atmosphere. The department comprises three offices under it: the Programme Developing Office, with Ms. Wu Caihua as the director; the Programme Administration Office, led by director Ms. Yang Jianhua; and the Chinese Language Training Office, headed by director Ms. Li Yajie. All the three offices are responsible to Mr. Zhang Shiyi, the dean of the International Department and also the principal of Luhe High School. Currently, we have 10 staff in the department and we are running international programmes with overseas organizations and our sister schools in South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Britain, Germany, France, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Besides, we have also established several cooperative programmes right in our school with foreign institutes and we have scores of overseas students and some foreign teachers to manage. Because of our persistent hard work, all these programmes are now going steadily to the right directions and no one can ever exaggerate their importance in the school’s development. But we are not satisfied only with the present situation, we would always like to achieve more and are ready anytime to cooperate with new partners and friends in the field of international education on the programmes we are interested in.
